Cycle Training has undergone a massive transformation in the last 10 years.

You may well remember the old Cycle Proficiency Test, aimed at school children, and delivered by people with little or no practical experience of cycling or teaching.

Thankfully, those days when passing your Cycling Proficiency Test meant weaving in and out of cones in the school yard are long gone.

Cycle training has grown up.  Cycle Proficiency is banished to the history books.

In it’s place comes Bikeability, a new modern way for Professional Instructors to teach the art of cycle road craft to build and boost the confidence of both children and adults alike, inspiring more to cycle and cycle frequently.

The Bikeability Standard, maintained by the Cycle Training Standards Board; the professional body for cycle training, is the only Government approved and nationally recognised award for 21st century cycle training.
