Connecting two of the world's most chic capital cities, the Environmental Justice Foundation’s London to Paris Great Fashion bike ride is an exciting charity cycle which any one can enjoy!

From novices to social cyclists and experienced to regular cyclists, this charity ride is all about doing it in slow style!

Now in it’s second year, the Great Fashion cycle plans to attract even greater numbers of adventure seeking fashionistas with a social and environmental conscience to help rid the world of the devastating effects of cotton production on people and the planet.

Cycle Divas has pledged to support this most worthwhile campaign and will be involved in planning and promoting the Great Fashion Cycle 2010 to audiences far and wide.

Over the coming months, we’ll be designing training plans to get you fit, featuring stories to motivate you, delivering delicious style tips on how to look your most adorable best, revealing techniques to make your bicycle work harder and not forgetting teaching you those essential road craft skills for a worry free ride!

don’t let your cotton cost the earth!

white gold

the true cost of cotton

  1. Over two thirds of the world’s cotton is grown in developing countries and the former Soviet Union.

  1. Valued at over $32 billion every year, global cotton production should be improving lives.

  1. But this "white gold" too often brings misery.

EJF is committed to eradicating child labour and the deadliest pesticides from cotton production and promoting organic alternatives

If the great fashion cycle is not for you, here’s a couple of things you can do to make a difference right now!

  1. 1.Commit to purchasing organic cotton only from ethically sustained sources!

  2. 2.Donate to EJF here

  3. 3.Sponsor me!

In celebration of my big 50 next year, not only do I want to support a really worthy cause by raising loads of dosh, but I want to show everyone that you can be nifty at fifty and a cycle diva to boot!

I’m in training right now to ensure I can eat up the 300 miles or so from London to Paris is slow style. I’ll be sharing my thoughts, pains and triumphs with you over the coming months!

But in the meantime, need to raise £1300 minimum and I’d welcome any support you feel able to give me.

Naturally, you want to be sure that I am registered to ride with EJF before even considering donating and you can!

My booking reference number is 1061IJEM4934828 made in the name of Jay Hurley, so please do verify with EJF should you have any doubts.

Thank you so much for your consideration.  I’ll keep you posted!
